Twelve RMs were infected i.v. with 1,000 TCID50 of SIVmac251. Starting day 11 p.i., RMs received ART daily. After 13-14 weeks of ART, the PRI-724 treatment was initiated in the experimental group. 5 RMs received 6 cycles of PRI s.c. at 10 mg/kg/day, and 3 RMs received an uninterrupted treatment of PRI s.c. at 20 mg/kg/day for 12 weeks. The control group was maintained on ART only. |
